    • Protect your skin from the sun by applying a broad-spectrum sunscreen (SPF 30 or higher) daily.

    • Avoid tanning beds, sunbathing, or any artificial tanning products.

    • Stop using harsh products with strong fragrances, alcohol, or dyes on the treatment area.

TWO DAYS BEFORE TREATMENT

    • Avoid waxing, threading, or the use of depilatory creams on the treatment area.

FOR THE NEXT SEVEN DAYS AFTER TREATMENT

  1. Cleanse with a gentle cleanser, then apply a hyaluronic acid serum to help replenish hydration. Follow with a cream-based moisturizer to support the skin barrier and minimize dryness or irritation.

  2. Avoid any products with active ingredients or potential irritants, including vitamin C, retinol, exfoliating acids, or fragrance, as these may increase sensitivity.

  3. Most importantly, apply SPF liberally every morning, ensuring full coverage over the treated area. Reapply multiple times throughout the day, especially when outdoors or exposed to direct sunlight. For added protection, wear a wide-brimmed hat and avoid prolonged sun exposure whenever possible.

OPTIMIZE YOUR RECOVERY

For the First 48 Hours After Your Treatment

  1. Avoid Makeup:

    • Refrain from using makeup or heavy skincare products for at least 24-48 hours or until redness subsides.

  2. No Exfoliation:

    • Avoid exfoliating products or harsh scrubbing on the treated area. Allow the skin to heal naturally.

  3. Hydration and Nutrition:

    • Drink plenty of water to stay hydrated and eat a balanced diet to support skin healing.

First Week After Treatment Lifestyle Recommendations

  1. Sun Protection, Sun Protection, Sun Protection:

    • Avoid direct sun exposure as much as possible. Apply SPF 50 Mineral Sunscreen every morning, even indoors, and reapply throughout the day. Wear a wide-brimmed hat or protective clothing when outdoors.

  2. Do Not Pick or Scratch:

    • Treated skin may develop a “sandpaper” texture or flake as it heals. This is normal. Do not pick or peel the skin, as this can lead to scarring or pigmentation issues.

  3. No Heat or Sweating:

    • Avoid hot showers, saunas, steam rooms, or strenuous exercise for 3-5 days. Excessive heat can irritate the treated skin.

  4. Avoid Certain Products:

    • Do not use retinoids, alpha-hydroxy acids (AHAs), beta-hydroxy acids (BHAs), or any other active ingredients until your provider advises it’s safe to resume.
